From God’s Lips To Tom DeLay’s Ear
“God has spoken to me, I listen to God, and what I’ve heard is that I’m supposed to devote myself to rebuilding the conservative base of the Republican Party, and I think we shouldn’t be underestimated.” -Tom DeLay
Tom DeLay’s vision and God’s directive is to create a MoveOn.org type assault grassroots movement that will restore order, justice and freedom which he views as the basic principles of the conservative agenda.
Personally, I don’t receive explicit communications from the Father like DeLay, Falwell, and Bin Laden do. I do see some contradictions in the messages that are claimed by these folks however. So what does that tell us about God?
I think the contradictions are the real message from the Lord, if any. It is not likely God wants you to be a republican, terrorist, or any number of human schemes that are exploited under His name. Ask yourself why would God choose that person to speak to mankind for him and if so is the proper message being delivered by this figure’s lips or is it their actions and character that we should be examining?
Tom DeLay has a new book .

Within minutes of leaving office he was convinced to write one.
In his book titled ” No Retreat, No Surrender” he chronicles what went on during the Gingrich Republican Revolution. Among the tidbits is one that has gotten quite a bit of play in the political blogosphere. The juicy excerpt contrasts DeLay’s prior infidelity and indiscretions with those of Newt’s during the impeachment of President Clinton. Essentially DeLay dismisses his transgressions as less severe than those of Gingrich.
